Sam Garrett, Esq. represents businesses and individuals in immigration law matters. Background & Education

Sam is admitted to practice in the state bars of New York, New Jersey, and California. He is authorized to practice immigration law nationwide. Sam has given public lectures on employment and family based immigration law in New York City. Before moving to New York, Sam ran the immigration arm of a respected California non-profit where he provided immigration counsel and trained and manager volunteer attorneys and law students from UCLA, USC, Loyola, and Southwestern.

  • His grandmother immigrated to the United States via Ellis Island.
  • In the eighth grade, he came in third place in a county wide essay contest on the meaning of the Latin phrase printed on all U.S. currency  “E Pluribus Unum” (Out of many one).
  • Appeared as a television news cameraman in an episode of the television series “Grey’s Anatomy.”
  • He is a registered wedding officiant in New York City.
  • Won best bronze newcomer couple in the 1999 Millennium Dance Sport competition after finishing first in the waltz, fox trot, cha cha, tango, rumba, and meringue.
