Sapna is an intellectual property attorney with over 20 years of experience providing counsel in trademark, copyright, and licensing matters. She advises companies of all sizes on the management of their intellectual property portfolio and commercial matters, with a specific focus on trademark law.
Sapna’s clients have included multinational and startups in luxury goods, tech, jewelry, fashion, beauty, home goods, fitness, and retail/e-commerce. She has prosecuted hundreds of domestic and international trademark applications.

Sapna managed trademark portfolios, including the implementation and protection of their branding strategies through trademark selection, screening, prosecution, and registration maintenance. In addition to trademark law, Sapna advises clients on a variety of intellectual property and licensing matters including coexistence and consent agreements, trademark infringement disputes, overall IP infringement, and domain name disputes. Sapna also negotiates commercial contracts including non-disclosure agreements, manufacturing agreements, terms of service, privacy policies, and independent contractor and consulting agreements.
Background & Education
Sapna received her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law. She is licensed to practice in New Jersey; United States District Court, United States Court of Appeals, Federal Circuit; and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Sapna has held previous in-house roles as an intellectual property lawyer at two multinational corporations.
